Apothecary jars are great for storing items in the kitchen or craft room and look terrific filled with exotic spices or seashore treasures. The opening is about 1.25 inches wide.
Our jars are great for storing dry goods or liquids but they are sensitive to sudden or extreme changes in temperature, which may cause the lids to stick or cracks in the jars. They are not recommended for use in the refrigerator or freezer.
This jar features a molded, ground glass stopper embossed with the size "250 ml". The jars are also known as "reagent bottles" in the chemistry lab. Approximately 5.5" tall with lid, 5.0" tall without. The base is 2.5 inches across and the opening is 1.25 inches in diameter.
Please note that these jars are the inexpensive, ordinary flint glass
type jars like you might find a school chemistry lab. They are not
perfectly photogenic jars; the bubbles, swirls and
other inclusions are a natural product of glassblowing and are not
considered a defect. If you need flawless, precision ground jars, we recommend Wheaton borosilicate reagent bottles.
See this article for tips on caring for your reagent bottle and removing a stuck lid.
